3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. (3-A SSI) is a non-proft association representing equipment manufacturers, processors, regulatory
sanitarians and other public health professionals. Through many decades of cooperation, these groups have established a
comprehensive inventory of 3-A Sanitary Standards and 3-A Accepted Practices now known around the world for dairy and food
processing equipment and systems.
Dixon Sanitary has earned its symbols through the Third Party Verifcation (TPV) program, requiring a professional
assessment rather than voluntary compliance, making certain each product conforms in all respects to the published standards.
The Standards are accepted by USDA and FDA.
Dixon Sanitary holds the following certifcation:
• Dixon Sanitary Fittings including BPE meet Sanitary Standards for Sanitary Fittings, Number 63-03 (Authorization
number 621).
• Dixon Sanitary Check Valves meet Sanitary Standards for Vacuum Breakers and Check Valves, Number 58-00
(Authorization number 1447).
• Dixon Sanitary Pumps meet Sanitary Standards for Centrifugal Pumps, Number 02-10 (Authorization number 1537).
• Dixon Sanitary Filter/Strainers meet Sanitary Standards for Filters Using Single Service Media, Number 10-04
(Authorization number 1446).
• Dixon Sanitary Seat Valves meet Sanitary Standards for Compression - Type Valves, Number 53-06 (Authorization
number 1655)
We carry material from other suppliers who have also earned their authorizations through the TPV Program:
• United (Authorization 331) Metal Tubing meets Sanitary Standards for Metal Tubing, Number 33-02.
• CSE (Authorization 850) Gauges meet Sanitary Standards for Sensors and Sensor Fittings and Connections, Number
74-03.
